WHAT: A Night of Rock-N-Soul
This Holiday season, two local divas and their bands are giving back by teaming up with Bradenton charity E.F.E.L.T (Elks Feeding Empty Little Tummies) to help feed homeless school children in Manatee County. Lauren Mitchell (The Lauren Mitchell Band) and Sheri Nadleman (SoulRCoaster) are working together to raise awareness about the two-thousand-plus children in Manatee County that the School Board identifies as “homeless”. The ladies and their bands will perform a concert on November 30th at the Bradenton Elks Lodge 1511 as a fund-raiser for the 501c3, which sends a backpack full of food home with designated children each week during the school year. The show will start at 5:00 pm with SoulRCoaster, a sophisticated Rock-n-Roll band fronted by Sheri Nadleman, whose intoxicatingly passionate style will bring the crowd to its’ feet! The Lauren Mitchell Band will close out the night with their eponymous front woman belting out her own brand of blues and soul music, reminiscent of greats like Etta James, Otis Redding, and Aretha Franklin. There will also be a very special appearance by The Florida Blues Brothers, along with a celebrity emcee, a 50/50 raffle and more! This year, when so many of us have SO much to be grateful for, we can all take some time out to help feed hungry children in our own backyard … and in the meantime feed our own souls with some great music! Tickets are $20.00 and all proceeds go directly to E.F.E.LT.
