Hurricane Michael Relief Supplies Drop-Off in Cortez, Florida
Bob Slicker and the Swordfish Grill and Tiki are well-known in our community as kind and generous folks. Any time there is a need you can count on Bob and his team to rally their troops and get help to the ones that need it most. When Hurricanes Irma and Maria hit last year, they got what was needed together and took it to the people. We appreciate them so much and are happy to report that they are doing it again! If you have not been sure where to lend a hand yet I encourage you to be a part of this wonderful group! They will begin collecting supplies for the victims of Hurricane Michael, which created so much devastation up in the panhandle of Florida last week. They will be taking a semi full of supplies as soon as the semi is full. Please bring these items on Tuesday morning 10/16/18 starting at 9am:
- FIRST AID ITEMS
- HAND SANITIZER
- BUG SPRAY
- NEW SOCKS & UNDERWEAR
- NEW TOYS
- TOILETRIES
- DIAPERS
- SUNSCREEN
- BACKPACKS
Bob says, “If you would like to make a cash donation to us, we are giving the money to our good friend Simon Lord to purchase more supplies and then we will get those supplies up there also!”
Your help is needed! They are NOT collecting water or clothing at this time.
Please, if you would like to donate these items we are there for you and we are there for the survivors of hurricane Michael!
This will start 9am, Tuesday, 10/16 in the Parking Lot on the corner of Cortez Road West & 121st St. Ct. W., Cortez, FL
We would love to have enough backpacks so that we can fill them and pass them out easily when we get there!
