Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones, Ted Stevens and the Doo Shots and Tim Chandler will be Rocking on October 19

| Sande Caplin |

Hurricane Irma caused quite a stir around our community last month. It forced the postponement of a very important charity event, “Giving Back” to support the Blessing Bags Project. Swordfish Grill General Manager, Bob Slicker worked hard to reschedule the event. The new date is Thursday, October 19. This is a private event and the Swordfish will be closed on Thursday evening.

The event is “Sold Out” but because of the postponement, there may be a ticket or 2 available. Please contact Betsy Plante of the Blessing Bags Project at (941) 720-1720.

The event is sponsored by The Swordfish Grill and Tiki, Sande Caplin and Associates and the Sarasota Post. Visit A Paradise Realty is the music sponsor for the evening. All ticket and raffle proceeds go to the Blessing Bags Project. There will be great music, fabulous food, and fantastic raffle and auction items.

From the Website- The Blessing Bags Project was founded in Bradenton, Florida. We are a group of concerned citizens who have a love for the homeless in our community. We collect travel size personal hygiene products, sunscreen, hand sanitizers, etc. Volunteers get together and put the items in Ziploc bags and we then distribute them as needed. We also collect Beanie Babies and make Children’s Blessing Bags. We have now expanded into Sarasota, Pinellas and Hillsboro County. Our vision is to provide Blessing Bags to the homeless in every community in Florida. Together…WE ARE making a difference in our communities!

Thank you for supporting this very important event.
