Dick Vitale receives $1,110,000 Donation for Pediatric Cancer Research from The Pentecost Foundation
On May 31, 2019, Dick Vitale was presented with a check to The V Foundation for Cancer Research in the amount of $1,110,000. The check was presented in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
The donation was made by Mark and Cindy Pentecost and The Pentecost Foundation. The check is a result of this year’s Dick Vitale Gala, which was held at the Ritz Carlton Sarasota. Dick’s passionate plea to all those present at the Gala, which was attended by Mark and Cindy Pentecost and their family, was overwhelmingly embraced by all, raising $4.3 million in total.
