Congratulations, Gina Spicer and MCS!

It was a fabulous event last night.  The Manatee Children’s Services “Holiday Hoe Down” at the Bradenton Convention Center was an overwhelming success.  Awesome All American BBQ dinner catered by LeRoy Selmon’s, great items up for auction, mechanical bull riding, costume contest, an awesome crowd dressed up like Cowboys and Cowgirls, and the highlight of the evening, fabulous Country Western Music by Kim Betts and the Gamble Street Band!

Over the past year, almost 4,000 local children were identified as possible victims of abuse. Over a third of these children walked through the doors of Manatee Children’s Services seeking safety, shelter and The Famous #3 Dale Earnhardt Race Cartreatment. But the work at their Advocacy Center doesn’t stop there.  Each year, MCS child abuse prevention efforts in our community reach over 14,000 children and families, paving the way for strengthened families and a safe childhood.

This great event helped to raise money for the Manatee Children’s Services programs.  Congratulations to Gina Spicer, the Event Coordinator for this event and the entire team at MCS.
