Billy Donates Over $7000!
Oh what a night at the Seafood Shack! The Billy Rice CD Release Party was a huge success. Throughout the night close to 600 people attended. It was totally awesome.
Jimmy Lally, Karen Klarich and their band opened the show and the crowd loved them! The Billy Rice Band played their new record in its entirety in 2 different sets. It was a “nightclub” scene. Great food and drink, friends hanging out with friends and hundreds and hundreds of great photos.
Here is some great news from Melinda Thompson, Chief Executive Officer at Manatee Children’s Services- “And from all of us at Manatee Children’s Services… THANK YOU! We are so grateful to you all and overwhelmed by the generosity and support! The donation count this morning has reached OVER $7,000 with more to add on Monday! THANK YOU Billy Rice and to everyone who made this wonderful gift from Billy to the community possible!”
This event is just another great example of what our fabulous community does to support people in need. There are so many “thank you’s” to the folks who made this event possible……The Billy Rice Band, the folks at the Seafood Shack (a special “thank you” to Lisa Bean who worked tirelessly with us) James Newton, Shelby Hartshorn and Laura Bell Adams from Sande Caplin & Associates who were responsible for most of the advertising, website updates, photos and the upcoming Billy Rice Music Video, Sharon Dolan Meier for all of the decorations, and all of the volunteers from Manatee Children’s Services.
