9th Annual Boots vs. Badges Blood Drive

The Sarasota Police Department has teamed up with the SunCoast Blood Bank for the 9th Annual Boots vs. Badges Blood Drive. The competition will be held through July 26th. This is an annual competition between local law enforcement and firefighters.

A trophy is up for grabs and donors can choose the lifesaving gift of blood on behalf of the agency they choose. To donate for law enforcement, donors need to say “badges” when they donate at the location of their choice. Every summer, the SunCoast Blood Bank has an uphill struggle to have enough blood on hand to distribute to the local hospitals in need. It’s why the Sarasota Police Department is encouraging donors, if you can donate, please do! A SunCoast Blood Bank will be at the Sarasota Police Department, 2099 Adams Lane, Sarasota, Monday, July 14th from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Wednesday, July 16th from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
