2nd Annual St. Patty’s Day Benefit

| Sande Caplin |

Manatee Children’s Services charity has been invited back to Aces Live for a 2nd Annual St. Patty’s Day benefit on March 17, 2014 by current owner, Renee Bennett. Her mission at Aces is to be a world class music venue, dedicated to the promotion of independent bands of the highest quality. Renee is also dedicated to supporting local charities. Manatee Children’s Services was the charity for this event/benefit with Aces last year on St. Patty’s Day and because it was so successful, she invited the charity back & would like to continue making  this an annual event for MCS.

All the entertainment for this year’s event is volunteering their time to make this year St. Patty’s Day benefit/event even more successful than last year.  We would like to “thank” those musician’s/bands: Kim Betts & The Gamble Creek band, The Big Daddy Band, Henry Lawrence, The Boss Hawg Band.

The Wayland Band will be the headliner for this benefit at 7:30pm. Music will start at noon and continue until midnight. There will be a Grand Prize, silent auctions, 50/50 raffles, Corn beef & cabbage, dancing and lots of Irish fun with all the proceeds being donated to STOP child abuse, neglect & abandonment in Manatee County and surrounding communities.

Manatee Children’s Services (MCS) was founded in 1977 by a group of concerned Manatee County residents who identified an unmet community need, temporary housing for children who had been removed from unsafe homes. Since 1977, the organization has grown to 12 different programs and continues to provide the entire Suncoast Region with essential services to improve the quality of life for children in need.
