2019 Has Been a Year Where Visions Are Becoming Reality at Hungers End in Downtown Bradenton, FL

Hungers End’s goal set out for 2019 was to continue to expand our services by adding our beauty and barber shop. The volunteers at Hungers End made it possible to restore a previously used salon with new furnishings, paint and decor!

The amazing Sosa’s and Alligood’s along with other volunteers detailed the new shop and it opened for business on July 8th, 2019 providing free haircuts and nail care/polish. The first night saw 12 happy customers receiving free haircuts and several ladies getting their nails done. Everyone loves the new shop that is opened every Monday evenings from 5:30 pm to 7pm.

In addition to the beauty and barber shop, work is progressing on their new prayer room, and the resource room. This past September the Manatee County Health department used our resource room and provided free Hep A shots to many to help against the spread of the virus in Manatee county.

New Beauty and Barber shop at Hunger's End in Bradenton, FLThe food pantry continues to serve the elderly residents at Grand Palms low income housing across the street from Hungers End plaza which has been something the residents thoroughly enjoy twice monthly. As well as serve the community twice monthly with free groceries, bagged meats, and fresh produce from their back gate produce stands.

Serving meals at Hunger's End in Bradenton, FlMeals served at Hungers End every Monday night are a hit to the local community and everyone loves BBQ Bobby’s pulled beef brisket and pork dinners. So many amazing volunteers are the heart and soul of Hungers End that has allowed us to grow now serving 150-200 each week on Mondays. The Blessing Bags Project is a wonderful partner with Hungers End and serves a potluck dinner every 4th Monday of the month. They helped Hungers End celebrate memorial day with a special meal that everyone loved .

We are so blessed to have so many amazing partners that help both financially and volunteer with us. This September 21st we had a record breaking quarter auction fund raiser where 275 came out to show their support. We are truly blessed by God and this community and it is an honor to serve with such amazing people.

Thank you for  joining us in this effort to “End Hunger in America, one community at a time”.
