White Picket Produce Expands Organic Produce Delivery Service

| Sande Caplin |

White Picket Produce, an online home delivery service that provides organic and locally grown produce to its customers announced today that they are expanding service to include North Port and Englewood in their delivery market.  The timing couldn’t be better for local residents that want to eat well.  According to the new estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau, North Port, Florida was just ranked one of the 10 fastest growing cities in Florida.

White Picket Produce individually tailors its Organic and Naturally Grown Local produce to meet the needs of each customer with two different sized boxes and weekly, bi-weekly or monthly home delivery options.  The company simplifies the process of shopping for fresh organic produce and eating better while saving the time and expense of traveling to the farmer’s market.   Beginning today, customers can go online and create an account to begin deliveries immediately.

White Picket Produce purchases 6 to 8 different vegetables and 4 to 5 different fruits each week based on seasonality, availability, and price.  The contents of each produce box are based on individual customer preferences.  For example, if a customer does not like cucumbers the company will replace that vegetable with a substitute item.  All items are certified 100% Organic but the plans for future include creating an “ALL LOCAL” box of Naturally Grown Local Produce.

“I enjoy working with local farmers here in Sarasota and Manatee counties.  These hard working families and the precious land they manage are important to the growth and sustainability of our economy and by supporting their farms, we’re able to eat better,”  said Sharyn Vross, who created White Picket Produce out of a passion for cooking healthy.
