VSC Opens Sarasota Big Pass to All Sarasota County Tourism Related Businesses

Visit Sarasota County (VSC) is preparing for the second year of Sarasota Big Pass and is excited to announce it will open registration for the annual program to any Sarasota County tourism related business. This discount program is during the months of August and September allowing consumers to enjoy BOGO (Buy One Get One Free), 25% Off and $5 Off deals at participating businesses.

“This program was initially designed to help local businesses during a slow period, in September. Back to school shopping is over and holiday shopping hasn’t quite started,” said Virginia Haley, VSC President. “However, we expanded the program to August and September this year.

“COVID-19 majority impacted our typical busy season and businesses need consumers; and consumers want to support local businesses but are facing financial burdens as well. Hopefully, Sarasota Big Pass can offer some reprieve for both sides by offering deals that encourage business sales. If anything, keeping these businesses top of mind is very important during any recovery.”

No cost to participate

Businesses can sign up and complete the registration process online at SarasotaBigPass.com. Registration will be accepted throughout the program and there is no deadline to participate. There is no cost to participate, businesses are simply asked to offer a minimum of one deal fitting one of the Sarasota Big Pass deal types: BOGO (Buy One Get One Free), 25% Off or $5 Off.

VSC will promote the program throughout Sarasota County through digital efforts beginning in early-July and continuing until the end of the program. Those with questions can email Enriqueta Balandra, VSC’s Project Manager, at EBalandra@VisitSarasota.com.
