Super Day Express in Port Charlotte, One Stop Gas and Gourmet

A while ago we had the pleasure of bringing you a story about Super Day Express, Facebook a unicorn place of sorts offering gas outside and gourmet foods inside.  Wait.  What?  Yes, that’s right, this place blows the idea of road food right out the back door.  When the Mrs. says grab me a snack as you head into pay for your gas, she will surely remember why she fell for you when you come out carrying a 6-inch slice of piping hot lasagna with a strawberry cheesecake along for good measure.  It is phenomenal, to say the least.  And guess what?  Super Day Express in Port Charlotte is still serving up some of your favs and surprising visitors with out-of-this-world culinary masterpieces. 

Post-hurricane Ian, Super Day has received new gas pumps and signage letting people know gas is up and running.  The outside of the building has never spoken to the astonishing delicacies you will find inside.  Display cases frame the most beautiful pies, cakes including fresh tiramisu and cookies that are the size of a small pie.  Flavors like cheesecake, lemon, chocolate, key lime and beyond make the mouth water.  But wait, there is more is a shared thought amongst gawkers trying to narrow down their food selection.  Calzones, strombolis, rolls, shrimp and rice, mac and cheese and wings make anything you choose the best choice.  There are no losers when you are eating these fantastic foods.  Ribs, wings, sausage and peppers and their pizza which is regionally famous makes for an outstanding food fest.  Whether it is for the everyday or the special event, their first come first served deli case is always full and their caterers are top notch leaving no detail unattended.

We would like to say Congratulations Super Day Express for being an unexpected staple in our community, proving that dedication to quality food and a commitment to keeping it fresh and exciting provides sustenance and comfort food to all.  It brings a giggle to think of all those who stop into Super Day Express for gas and come out with steak and shrimp.  Now that makes for a super day.  To see what is on the menu today, please visit Facebook.
