Shoppers Paradise in Downtown Palmetto, FL
Did you know that in the heart of historic downtown Palmetto there is a trendy boutique with southern charm?
Located at 1003 10th Ave W Palmetto, there is a one-of-a-kind shop – The Lace Buckle Boutique. There is nowhere better to find truly unique items. Featuring women’s clothing, fabulous accessories, sandals, shoes, candles (featuring Capri Blue line), Mona B handbags (made from recycled military tarps) and they recently opened a line of Go Be Lovely organic soaps.
Walking in you experience a keen sense of creativity and southern charm. From southern preppy to cowgirl-gypsy this is your one stop shop to find something sweet, classy and affordable. We had the pleasure of interviewing successful business owner Melissa Stanford Burns. Some of the locals may know her from her graduating year of 1992 from Palmetto High School. She is a true Floridian born and raised right here in her hometown of Palmetto, that’s not so easy to find these days!
Interviewing her, she said her favorite part of her job is daily interaction with unique people, finding new fashion, and hunting for trends that she knows her consumers would want. The hardest part of her job, Burns said, is picking fashionable styles and hunting for sizes. Her love for shopping is how she came into the business traveling with her husband David to Ellijay, Georgia for their honeymoon, inspired her to start her own boutique.
The Lace Buckle Boutique has been open 4 years this summer and if you find something that tickles your fancy there you better “get it before it’s gone,” she says, because she only offers one run of something. Stay on the lookout for a new “All About Mom” section to spoil those moms who need it most, featuring a line of those oh so soft PJ bottoms with fashionable prints, nightgowns, shower melts, bath bombs and trendy tees.
The Lace Buckle Boutique is proud to be a sponsor of Miss Manatee Softball and if you’re looking for your Palmetto Tigers or Parrish Bulls gear, from accessories to tees, they have that too!
In October 2018, she opened American Traditions, a Farmhouse inspired furniture and décor, brick and mortar type store, just off the beaten path at 433 10th Ave W Palmetto. Quite the shoppers haven, featuring farmhouse furniture, rustic, coastal, antiques and southern chic inspired furniture and décor. Popular items are their wood and metal shutters and old wooden window panes. Just recently, she added a section of her trendy boutique clothing, shoes, stylish wristlets, and Mom’s…you can find your game day fashionable clear bags right here! This will truly be your one stop shop for that perfect statement piece. Check out their delightful website .
