Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport Announce New Local Restaurants Coming to the Terminal

| Suncoast Post Staff |

Exciting developments are on the horizon for Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, as it gears up to welcome beloved local restaurants such as Anna Maria Oyster Bar, Mattison’s Grille, Patrick’s 1481, and several others. Rick Piccolo, the esteemed president, and CEO of SRQ, revealed that the current concession agreements, which oversee all restaurant and retail operations, are set to expire within a year.

The forthcoming culinary additions promise to enhance the airport experience for travelers. Patrick’s and Anna Maria Oyster Bar, for instance, will find their homes in the brand-new ground boarding terminal, slated for a grand opening in December of 2024. Meanwhile, Mattison’s will grace Terminal B within the main terminal of the airport. These local gems will complement national brands like Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, providing a diverse range of dining options for passengers.

Rick Piccolo emphasized that the airport’s objective with these new agreements is to foster greater local participation, allowing the community to grow in tandem with the airport’s progress. “It exposes people to those brands that are already in the community while they are at the airport. They get a chance to sample them. Maybe it brings them back to that business later as well so that they patronize our facilities and patronize our local businesses,” remarked Piccolo.

This exciting collaboration between Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport and local restaurants promises to offer travelers a taste of the region’s culinary excellence, making their airport experience not only convenient but also a flavorful introduction to the vibrant local dining scene.

The new terminal is scheduled to open in December 2024.
