Patricks 1481 in Downtown Sarasota – “Cheers”

Did you know . . . we have our very own “Cheers” bar/restaurant? Yes, the restaurant is known as Patricks 1481, located at 1481 Main Street in downtown Sarasota.

James “Sully” Sullivan has brought a bit of Bah-stan to our local community. There’s even a bartender, Jake, who actually worked at the original Cheers in Bah-stan working at our local Cheers bar! While seated at the bar, patrons can catch up on the latest sports games happening at the moment.

From Patricks 1481 website: With a comfortable and colorful dining room dedicated to Sarasota’s local art scene, a perfectly divided bar from the dining room that is always busy with patrons searching for romantic ambiance and others looking to catch the game and a bite to eat, and an outside seating area with cozy patio heaters and a warm welcome to our furry companions. Patricks 1481 is Sarasota’s version of “Cheers”.

Sully has been bringing this local ambience to downtown Sarasota for over 30 years! Whether seated indoors or outdoors, Patricks is a comfortable environment to have a happy lunch or dinner! The Monday after Hurricane Irma, Sully was observed scoping out the outdoor conditions and was asked, “Hey Sully, are you opening later?” He responded, “We’ll be open at 5:00!”

Upon arriving at the restaurant at 5:00, the place was already packed! It was a great response to a local icon, and a community wanting to return to “normal.” This wonderful restaurant has continued to offer its famous “Patricks Burger” for $5.00 on Mondays, all day long. What a great way to celebrate a Monday!

The restaurant is open seven days a week: Sunday 11am – 9pm, Monday 11am – 10pm, Tuesday-Thursday 11am – 9pm, Friday-Saturday 11am – 10pm.
