Painting with a Twist Bradenton Celebrates 10 Years of Fun, Art, and Community
Bradenton’s creative spirit is flourishing as Painting with a Twist celebrates 10 years of bringing art, joy, and community together. This milestone reflects a decade of inspiring countless individuals to embrace their artistic side in an atmosphere designed for fun and relaxation. Owners Hope Kinney and Sheri Penxa originally opened their Sarasota studio in 2012, but soon realized that Bradenton needed the same unique, family-friendly experience. Their mission was simple: to create a space where anyone could discover their inner artist and leave feeling proud of their masterpiece.
“Painting with a Twist is all about taking a break from life’s stresses and just having fun,” said co-owner Hope Kinney. “It’s the best therapy to forget everything for two hours! We’re not fine art -we’re fun art. Everyone who walks in, regardless of their skill level, can create something beautiful, and most of the time, they leave pleasantly surprised with what they’ve accomplished.”
Hope and Sheri envisioned a studio that would become a go-to destination for women, families, and children seeking a creative outlet. Over the last decade, that vision has been realized. From girls’ nights out and family painting sessions to birthday parties and date nights, Painting with a Twist in Bradenton has become a beloved fixture in the community.
Beyond their regular events, Painting with a Twist Bradenton offers both public and private events, catering to a wide range of interests and occasions. Whether it’s team-building activities for companies, the increasingly popular “Paint Your Pet” sessions, candle-making workshops, or simply celebrating life’s milestones, the studio provides a memorable way to gather with friends, family, or colleagues. They also offer convenient daytime “Pop-In” hours, where guests can drop by to paint at their own pace, adding even more flexibility to their creative experience.
The impact of the studio goes beyond just painting. Over the past decade, Painting with a Twist has also been committed to giving back to the community, often partnering with local nonprofits to host charity painting events, raising funds and awareness for important causes. They have raised 150K with both studios. With Hope and Sheri coming from the nonprofit world, this has always been an important part of their work.
As Painting with a Twist Bradenton celebrates 10 years, Hope and Sheri are excited for what the future holds and about adding new creative experiences all the time to the studios. With their commitment to creativity, community, and fun, they look forward to continuing to provide a joyful escape for Bradenton’s residents for many years to come.
