Nordstrom Rack Expands in Sarasota with New Store at Sarasota Pavilion
A new Nordstrom Rack store is set to open in Sarasota, bringing more shopping options to the area. Nordstrom announced on Oct. 22 that the store will open its doors in 2026, marking the second Nordstrom Rack location in the region, joining the existing store at The Shoppes at University Town Center.
Nordstrom Rack, the off-price retail division of Seattle-based Nordstrom, offers a wide selection of on-trend apparel, beauty products, and home decor at discounts of up to 70%. The new 27,000-square-foot store will be located off U.S. 41 at Stickney Point Road in Sarasota Pavilion, a shopping center owned by Illinois-headquartered InvenTrust Properties. Other tenants in the center include Marshalls, Publix, Five Below, and Ross Dress for Less. The new Nordstrom Rack will take over part of the space previously occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Nordstrom Rack to Sarasota Pavilion,” said InvenTrust Vice President of Leasing Ken Wygle. “We can’t wait for shoppers to enjoy the incredible selection and fantastic deals Nordstrom Rack is known for. This addition reflects our commitment to providing our customers with a diverse and high-quality retail experience.”
The Sarasota store is slated to open in spring 2026. In addition to the Sarasota location, Nordstrom Rack is expanding its footprint across Florida, with new stores planned for Melbourne in fall 2025 and Coral Springs shortly after. According to Nordstrom, these new developments are part of the company’s ongoing growth in the state, where it already generates 2,800 jobs.
Nordstrom Rack currently operates 19 stores in Florida, and there are six Nordstrom locations. The company says Nordstrom Rack is its largest source of new customers.
“We’re excited to grow our footprint in these regions and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience,” said Nordstrom Rack President Gemma Lionello. “We look forward to being a part of the Melbourne and Sarasota communities and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices.”
