Breeze Airways has announced yet another addition to its rapidly expanding roster at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ). Just a week after introducing seven new flights set to launch this fall, Breeze revealed plans for a new route from SRQ to Tweed New Haven Airport in New Haven, Connecticut, starting in February next year.

This latest addition marks the 14th new flight SRQ has announced in 2024, bringing the airport’s total number of nonstop routes to 61. The New Haven service will operate on Mondays and Fridays beginning February 7, with fares starting at $69. Tickets are now available for booking at flybreeze.com.

This flight is part of Breeze Airways’ broader Northeast expansion, which includes new weekly flights from New Haven to Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, and West Palm Beach between December and February. The New Haven route will be Breeze’s ninth direct flight from SRQ, joining existing routes to Westchester County, New York; Long Island, New York; Canton, Ohio; Portland, Maine; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; Richmond, Virginia; Hartford, Connecticut; and Providence, Rhode Island.

SRQ’s connectivity to New Haven will be further bolstered by Avelo Airlines, which also offers a nonstop route between the two airports. Avelo Airlines has been an important player in SRQ’s growth, providing affordable and convenient travel options. Since its debut at SRQ, Avelo has steadily increased its presence, focusing on underserved markets and offering flights to popular destinations.

The ongoing expansion of both Breeze Airways and Avelo Airlines at SRQ underscores the airport’s strategic importance in connecting Florida’s Gulf Coast with key markets in the Northeast. As more travelers seek out convenient, budget-friendly travel options, SRQ continues to position itself as a major hub for airlines looking to serve these growing demands.

With its impressive growth trajectory, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport is quickly becoming a key player in regional air travel, offering a diverse range of flight options that cater to both leisure and business travelers.
