New Daily Nonstop Flight from Sarasota-Bradenton to Miami Launches This Fall
Starting November 3, 2025, American Airlines will introduce daily nonstop flight service between Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) and Miami International Airport (MIA). The route will be operated using a 76-seat Embraer 175 jet, featuring first class, main cabin extra, and main cabin seating. Flights are scheduled to depart SRQ at 6:30 a.m., arriving in Miami at 7:40 a.m. The return flight leaves MIA at 9:30 p.m., arriving back at SRQ at 10:40 p.m. Please note that schedules are subject to change. Rick Piccolo, President and CEO of SRQ, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, stating, “We are thrilled to announce that American Airlines will be adding Miami, FL (MIA) as their sixth nonstop destination from SRQ.” This addition complements American Airlines’ existing nonstop services from SRQ to Charlotte, NC (CLT); Washington, D.C. (DCA); Dallas/Fort Worth, TX (DFW); Chicago, IL (ORD); and Philadelphia, PA (PHL).
Jordan Pack, American’s Director of Domestic Network Planning, highlighted the strategic importance of the new route: “Miami is our gateway to Latin America and the Caribbean, and with this service, customers will be able to connect to more than 60 destinations in the region.”
SRQ continues to expand its reach, now offering nonstop flights to over 60 destinations through 11 airline carriers.
