Microsoft Grand Opening at University Town Center

| Sande Caplin |

Last week, The Sarasota Post was represented by me and Sande Caplin to have a one on one interview with Jonathan Adashek, The GM of Communications Strategy for Microsoft and Natalie Edwards who is the Senior Account Supervisor for Assembly, Inc. at the Unviersity Town Center Mall. We spoke about a variety of topics.  We have also been invited to the “Press Preview” on Wednesday, June 12th and the Grand Opening on the 13th of June.

Microsoft is celebrating their Grand Opening at the Mall at University Town Center on June 11th.  With 112 locations around the globe, this marks the first store for the Florida Gulf Coast. Microsoft is very interested in creating a long lasting impression here, so they have come up with some really innovative ways to reach out to the community. One of the things that they are doing is offering classes and workshops to the public. They will even have technology camps for children during winter and spring breaks. They are also donating almost $1 million dollars in grants to local organizations!

MicrosoftMicrosoft is of course known for their inventive products and the store has a number of new products to promote. Microsoft Surface 3 and Microsoft Band are the newest programs to come out, but later this year Windows 10 will also be introduced. Microsoft is also reaching out to work with other brands. No matter which type of smart device that you have, or where is has been bought, you can bring your device into the store and they will load it with the newest Microsoft products.

This Thursday, Microsoft will have their Grand Opening starting at 10:30am. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony, as well as the presentation of the technology grants. At 6pm, NFL star and former Tampa Bay Buccaneer, Derrick Brooks, will be in attendance to play Xbox with the first 200 people that sign up. Attendees will also be able to take advantage of product offers and giveaways onsite, including one-day-only offers: Dell Inspiron 15 for $399 (ERP starting at $699) and HP Stream 7 for $49 (ERP starting at $79).These offers are limited to one per customer and while supplies last.

We are so proud and honored at the Sarasota Post to be part of this great store opening and hope to build a long lasting relationship with Microsoft.
