Marriott Unveils Grand Opening Date for New Resort and Spa in Manatee County
The highly anticipated Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa is set to open its doors with a grand celebration in May.
The eight-story resort boasts 252 luxurious guest rooms, along with a plethora of upscale amenities, dining venues, and social and recreational spaces. Notably, the resort will be directly connected to the Bradenton Area Convention Center, which is currently undergoing a significant $48 million renovation to complement the resort’s aesthetics and expand its event space.
The convention center’s renovation is slated for completion in 2025 and includes plans for an additional 14,000 square feet of ballroom space. This new space will accommodate up to 900 conference attendees or be divisible into two smaller rooms, along with two additional outdoor event spaces.
The Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa also offers 10,000 square feet of meeting space, a sprawling 40,000-square-foot outdoor lawn, and an amphitheater. Once fully operational, the combined resort and convention center will offer an impressive 140,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.
In addition to its event facilities, the resort boasts two resort-style pools and a state-of-the-art spa and fitness center. For those seeking more active pursuits, the Palmetto Marriott Beach Club at Riviera Dunes features a lap swimming pool, a beach volleyball court, pickleball courts, and ample waterfront space complete with cabanas and loungers.
The resort’s lobby offers a range of dining options and complimentary Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy delectable meals at The Social restaurant, savor Florida-inspired dishes with a Mediterranean twist at the Oyster River rooftop, or indulge in the offerings of the “Fresh… Always” food truck.
General Manager Greg Ciaccio expressed excitement about the upcoming opening, stating, “From our best-in-class amenities and innovative culinary offerings to exceptional gathering and event spaces, we look forward to bringing Marriott Hotels’ living legacy of putting people first to life with enriching experiences, heartfelt service, and cherished memories.”
