Huey Magoo’s “On the Fly” Opens First-Ever Airport Location at SRQ, Serving Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Travelers passing through Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) now have a delicious new option to satisfy their cravings. Huey Magoo’s, a beloved fast-casual chain known for its hand-breaded and grilled chicken tenders, has made its airport debut with the grand opening of Huey Magoo’s On the Fly in Terminal B—marking a major milestone for the growing brand.
Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Orlando, Huey Magoo’s has expanded to 77 locations across 12 states. The new SRQ outpost is not only its first airport restaurant but also the first to offer breakfast service, adding a unique twist to the chain’s already popular tender-centric menu.
Open daily from 5 a.m. until the final flight departure, Huey Magoo’s On the Fly is strategically located past security in Terminal B, right next to Jimmy John’s. It joins an expanding lineup of local and national eateries revitalizing the concourse, including Mattison’s, Starbucks, Salt & Tide Bar, and upcoming additions like Motorworks Brewing, The Salty Key, and Wahlburgers.
“We’re thrilled to bring our award-winning chicken tenders to Sarasota travelers in such a convenient and vibrant setting,” said Andy Howard, President and CEO of Huey Magoo’s. “This first airport location reflects our brand’s growth strategy and lets us introduce Huey Magoo’s to guests from all over the country.”
The SRQ location offers a full breakfast menu from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., featuring hearty options like a breakfast burrito or bowl with chicken tenders, scrambled eggs, cheese, and crispy breakfast potatoes—served with a choice of hot honey, gravy, or hot sauce. Bacon can be added for an extra protein punch.
For lunch and dinner, guests can enjoy three- or five-piece chicken tender meals with fries and Texas toast, plus wraps, salads, and sandwiches—all customizable with Huey Magoo’s signature sauces.
Huey Magoo’s On the Fly is operated by franchisee Lauren Mitchell, who brings two decades of restaurant industry experience to the venture. “I’m incredibly proud to open this location and serve travelers at SRQ,” said Mitchell. “Whether it’s their first taste or a familiar favorite, guests can count on fast service and the fresh, flavorful tenders that make Huey Magoo’s so special.”
With its approachable comfort food and convenient location, Huey Magoo’s On the Fly is quickly becoming a standout dining destination at SRQ for early flyers, layover passengers, and hungry vacationers alike.
