Hodo’s Golf Cart Rentals: Cruising the Gulf Coast with Heart and Five-Star Service

On the picturesque Gulf Coast of Florida, a family-owned business is making waves—not just for their stylish electric golf carts, but for their unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction and community support. Hodo’s Golf Cart Rentals, servicing Anna Maria Island and surrounding areas including Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, Siesta Key, and all Sarasota/Manatee communities, has quickly earned a reputation as the island’s premier street-legal golf cart rental provider. Offering top-of-the-line 2024 and 2025 electric lithium-powered models, the company is known for its seamless booking process, fast delivery, and exceptional customer service that consistently earns glowing five-star reviews.

A Family Business Fueled by Passion

The company was founded by 17-year-old entrepreneur Louis Hodo, whose passion for baseball and business inspired the venture. With the support of his parents, Randy—a retired law enforcement officer—and Lisa—a digital marketing specialist—Hodo’s Golf Cart Rentals has grown into a thriving business that’s beloved by vacationers and locals alike.

“We wanted to create something that not only offers a fun and convenient way to explore the island but also gives back to the community,” says Lisa Hodo.

Each golf cart in the fleet is designed with comfort and convenience in mind—featuring Bluetooth speakers, digital dashboards, 9″ display screens with backup cameras, extended roofs, and lithium batteries that charge fully in just three hours. Options include 4- and 6-seater carts and some carts with all seats facing forward and more VIP features like upgraded seats, Apple CarPlay, and underglow lights—perfect for family getaways or girls’ weekend adventures.

Rave Reviews from Vacationers

Customer testimonials reflect the company’s dedication to excellence.

“If you are looking for the best golf cart rental, then look no further than Hodo’s Golf Cart Rentals! You won’t be disappointed,” wrote one satisfied vacationer. Another visitor shared, “Hodo’s is hands down the best experience we’ve had renting on the island. The cart was immaculate and delivered right to our rental home—completely hassle-free.”

Community at the Heart: Hodo’s Give Back Campaign

In the aftermath of severe storms that swept through the Gulf Coast in 2024, Hodo’s launched the Hodo’s Give Back campaign; the company initiated a special rental promotion: for every booking, Hodo’s contributed $25 to $50 in gift cards to local businesses affected by the storm.

But that wasn’t all.

Lisa created an Amazon Wishlist filled with urgently needed items like non-perishable food, hygiene supplies, diapers, and batteries. What started as a small act of hope quickly went viral, with donations pouring in from across the country. Shipments began arriving daily and the Hodo’s dropped off to designated drop-off points in Anna Maria Island and Cortez, with The Market Boutique stepping up as the main distribution hub, where goods were sorted, packed, and loaded onto trucks for community-wide distribution.

“Our island is more than a destination—it’s a community,” Lisa says. “When disaster struck, we didn’t just want to get back to business—we wanted to help our neighbors rebuild.”

Honoring Heroes with Discounts

Hodo’s also proudly offers exclusive discounts to first responders, veterans, and active-duty military. It’s a nod to Randy Hodo’s background in law enforcement and the family’s deep respect for public servants.

Island Explorers Welcome

With limited availability during the busy spring and summer seasons, customers are encouraged to book early. Rentals include free drop-off and pick-up to vacation homes in Sarasota and Manatee Counties.

Whether you’re a returning guest or a first-time visitor, Hodo’s Golf Cart Rentals offers more than just transportation—they provide an island experience rooted in family values, local love, and personalized service.
