Darci Jacob worked for Cache Clothing store for 20 years as a store manager and a training store Manager. Both the Southgate Plaza and UTC Cache were run by Darci until the closing of the company.
When the company closed, something very special happened – Darci’s original DM of Cache, who left 10 years before to open her own store in Mt. Dora, approached Darci about opening another boutique in Downtown Sarasota! Darci said, “Sure!”
Cache closed April 30, 2015 and Panache opened October 9, 2015. Darci’s enthusiasm and dedication, not only to her shop and customers but also to the community, expresses the absolute love she has owning her store.
Darci listens to what the clients want and then goes to market to buy it for them. She loves making women feel good about what they wear without breaking the bank. Any woman can be dressed from head to toe; Panache has clothing from size 0 to size 20, from very casual to Black Tie.
One of Darci’s community commitments for which she is a board member is SPARCC (Safe Place And Rape Crisis Center) and Panache hosts their fashion shows. She is also involved with Big Brother Big Sister/Live Laugh Love, assisting with their fashion shows for the past three years. Sarasota Military Academy, where her son attended school – she was the rifle team president for 4 years and is now the PTCC Treasurer and, of course, our beloved Sarasota Downtown Merchants Association.
