After five months of being closed due to COVID19, The Gator Club, bar, dance, and night club is open! They just reopened with plenty of outside seating and lite bites to go along with your drinks! The Lemon Avenue street closure from Main Street to State Street has helped in providing a safe, outside environment while enjoying The Gator Club!
When we caught up with Larry Siegel, owner/operator of the historical club, he explained how his restaurant background and strong faith, helped him transition into light food to be able to reopen The Gator Club. He’s been operating for a few weeks now and is ready for a great Labor Day Weekend!
A few facts about The Gator Club:
The Gator Club is Sarasota’s most charming gathering place located in a beautifully restored original brick building built in 1913, that has, for generations been a cornerstone of downtown Sarasota. This amazing club offers so much! — Live music and a great spirit collection upstairs featuring 260+ whiskeys and house picked barrels of whiskey.
You’ll find traditional surroundings such as leaded glass mirrors, exposed brick walls, and antique brass lighting fixtures. In this original atmosphere reminiscent of old New Orleans or New York City, Sarasota’s professionals gather for intimate conversation mingled with the sound of Rhythm & Blues and Top 40. A visit to the Gator Club will remind you of your favorite night spot in your favorite city.
The club can be yours! Just contact them to reserve your date for all kinds of events, including:
Receptions, Birthdays, Bachelor Parties, Bachelorette Parties, Weddings, Anniversaries, Product Releases, Cocktail Receptions, Graduations, Special Events, Corporate and hopefully coming soon…celebrating the end of this present crisis.
Welcome Back, Gator Club, and thank you for creating a safe environment to relax and have fun!
