Frankie Creaturo- An Artist With A Unique Style
“I LOVE ALL THINGS THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ART…
Some people can learn from books or from other people, but I’ve only been able to learn from Doing…Touching, Feeling, Tasting, ROLLING AROUND IN IT! That’s ME….Frankie Creaturo.
I first learned about this great artist from his “Gift of the Day” postings on Facebook where he shows one of his paintings. It certainly puts a smile on my face. As it turns out, Frankie and I know lots of the same people.
Frankie and I met for the first time several weeks ago at a mutual friend’s house, Maurizio Colucci, owner of Primo Ristorante. We chatted for a while and he invited me to visit him at his studio/gallery at 1269 1st Street in Sarasota. I took a ride there on Saturday and was absolutely amazed at the artwork and sculpture.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Frankie attended the School of Industrial Art and School of Art & Design in New York City. He has an extensive artistic career, has won countless awards with countless articles written about him. He has participated in many one man shows and was spotlighted on Eyewitness News in NY.
In Sarasota he is active in charity events and has designed program covers for American Diabetes Foundation, Big Brothers & Big Sisters and Make A Wish.
You will love Frankie’s work and his gallery is absolutely awesome. You can find him on Facebook, YouTube or visit his website at www.creaturogallery.com. Call (941) 953-6763.
