Breeze Airways Expands Florida Presence with Three New Routes, Including Long Island Nonstop
Provo, Utah-based Breeze Airways is significantly increasing its operations in Florida with the introduction of three new nonstop routes. These expansions are set to enhance connectivity from key northeastern locations to the Sunshine State, bolstering Breeze’s footprint in the region.
The airline’s latest additions include flights to Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) near Fort Myers, where Breeze is preparing to establish its newest operational base later this year.
Flight Details
Scheduled to commence this fall, the new routes are as follows:
- Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (BTV) to Fort Myers: Starting October 4, flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
- Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) to Fort Myers: Commencing October 2, flights will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport (AVP) to Tampa International Airport (TPA): Beginning October 18, flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
Islip, Long Island Expansion
The introduction of the new route from Islip to Fort Myers marks Breeze’s fourth nonstop destination from Long Island, alongside existing services to Charleston, Norfolk, and Raleigh-Durham.
This expansion at Islip follows the recent addition of JetBlue to the airport’s roster.
Additional Flights to Orlando
In addition to the three new routes, Breeze is also enhancing its service between northeast Pennsylvania and Central Florida. From October 8, the carrier will offer a fifth weekly round trip between Wilkes-Barre Scranton and Orlando, with flights operating on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
These expansions underscore Breeze Airways’ commitment to providing convenient and affordable travel options between the Northeast and popular destinations in Florida.
