Breeze Airways has announced Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) as its next “base of operations,” signifying a major strategic move for the airline. Beginning October 1st, Breeze will station pilots, flight attendants, and three aircraft at RSW, highlighting its commitment to the region.

Since its introduction in Fort Myers, Breeze has experienced remarkable growth. The airline recently celebrated its first full month of operating profit in March, demonstrating the success of its operations.

By October, Breeze will expand its services from RSW to 19 destinations, including the launch of five new routes. The airline’s CEO, David Neeleman, praised the Airbus A220, stating that “Breeze will have the largest fleet of these aircraft in the world, offering passengers a modern and comfortable flying experience.”

With Breeze Airways becoming the third-largest customer worldwide for the A220, according to Airbus, travelers can expect enhanced connectivity and convenience from RSW. The airline will offer nonstop flights to a variety of destinations, including Akron/Canton, OH; Charleston, SC; Columbus, OH; Hartford, CT; Las Vegas, NV; Louisville, KY; New Orleans, LA; Norfolk, VA; Pittsburgh, PA; Portland, ME; Providence, RI; Raleigh/Durham, NC; Richmond, VA; and Syracuse, NY.

Additionally, Breeze Airways will introduce new flights from RSW to Manchester, NH; Stewart/Newburgh, NY; Lansing, MI; Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, PA; and Bangor, ME, starting October 1st, providing travelers with even more options for their journeys.
