Bistro in Sarasota Launches New Dining Options at Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College of Art & Design
Bistro, the seasonal restaurant from Constellation Culinary Group at Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College of Art + Design has launched a new culturally immersive group dining option for groups featuring everything they need for a successful lunch and learn, interactive session or team luncheon – all within the vibrant atmosphere of the museum’s Thomas McGuire Hall.
The Artful Gatherings Luncheon Special provides a unique and immersive culinary experience for group lunches in an exclusive museum environment. Priced at $40 per person (plus tax), the special offer includes a two-hour time frame for a two-course plated lunch in the Thomas McGuire Hall, which is adorned with a stunning mural by Venezuelan artist Jose Alvarez, who is globally renowned and celebrated for his lush and lively works. The piece, “Coming Together” (2020), was created amid an unprecedented global pandemic and now fills McGuire Hall, an ideal location for groups to come together for any type of event.
The special features an exclusive pre-fixe menu, which is subject to change based on the seasonal offerings at Bistro. The current menu highlights fresh dishes made from scratch by the talented team at Bistro including Asparagus and Spring Pea Salad, made with frisee, mint yogurt, preserved lemon vinaigrette and marcona almond; Peach and Frisee Salad, tossed with toasted hazel and pickled fresno in a ginger dressing; Crushed Cucumber Salad with toasted sesame seeds, spring radish and pea shoots tossed in a crispy chili dressing; and Spring Chopped Cobb, with little gems, smoked blue cheese, avocado, heirloom cherry tomatoes, housed cured bacon, and a 6-minute egg topped with green goddess dressing. Groups can also choose from a pre-set dessert of brownie, corn cookie or chocolate chip cookie for a sweet treat to finish off any lunch and learn group gathering.
There is no additional facility fee associated with the space as the venue and lunch are all included with the $40 per person price, in addition to complimentary parking and the use of the space’s built-in AV and sound capabilities including two screens, sound, microphones, and podium. Thomas McGuire Hall accommodates 40-100 guests during Artful Gatherings, and features floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for amazing natural light and an outdoor feel without having to step foot outside. Iced tea, linens, napkins, chairs, china, silverware, glassware, service, and staffing are also included.
