Avlí Mess Hall in Downtown Sarasota, FL

For the first time in my days of driving, I was lucky to have a flat tire! Limped in to see if Reese’s Chevron could fix it quickly since I had timelines that day…they told me to come back in an hour. I walked down Main Street and found Avlí Mess Hall had opened! I took myself for an iced tea and light lunch…what an experience!

The welcoming spirit of Ed and Mila was exceptional. The renovation of the space was remarkable. High tops and booths and a comfortable bar gave you the feeling of a place that you would want to return to time and time again.

The Mess Hall was busy, busy, but even with the demands of a busy lunch time, Mila took time to give me a ‘tour’ of the menu and restaurant. The food was out of this world, beautifully prepared and presented…fresh, fresh ingredients. You felt ‘good’ enjoying the wonderful ‘clean’ ingredients.

The service was impeccable and the ambiance in the bright, clean space was just an enjoyable experience. One can feel comfortable visiting the Mess Hall at any time…sitting at the bar is fun too!

So, then the crisis came into our world. Ed and Mila and Alex created an efficient curbside service that works smoothly and safely.

Avlí Mess Hall is a welcomed addition to downtown Sarasota and Main Street. The choices on the menu are creative and eclectic; farm-to-table ingredients; high end bar; amazing service and a great feeling in a bright, feel good atmosphere.
