The View from Sarasota’s Tia Castle
Tia Castle is on fire and making it all look easy. With a popular television program that showcases high-end Suncoast living, she has become the name and face associated with luxury real estate. An impressive network of friends and clients cannot wait to open their doors to her. And, she has brought us insider information on our favorite celebrities in an intimate manner. So who is this Sarasota powerhouse? She’s a lot of things, she will tell you, and none of her success has been happenstance.
Tia studied Broadcast Journalism at American University where she quickly honed in on her communication, sales, and marketing skills and worked various jobs in the television industry as an on-air traffic person, weekend producer, and reporter for ABC7 and various Fox News affiliates. She was recruited to work for Johnson & Johnson in their Biotech sales division and has appeared in three reality television shows. Her intrinsic knowledge of the area, as well as a keen ability to focus on what a buyer wants led her to several spokesmodel positions working for many luxury brand campaigns. As a realtor for the acclaimed Sotheby’s, Tia strengthened her sales skills amongst the elite buyers and sellers with whom she worked. Along the way, she met many famous, wealthy, and interesting people which has culminated in her most exciting venture of all, Home & Castle TV.
If you’ve driven through Longboat Key, Casey Key, or any number of Sarasota’s upscale neighborhoods, and have wondered what lies beyond those gates and sprawling lawns and what kind of person has the means to reside there, ask no more. Home & Castle TV, with Tia as host, brings you inside many of the prominent homes along the Suncoast and in other elite areas of Florida, and spotlights the movie stars, athletes, and corporate executives who call these palatial structures home. The viewer is treated to a captivating 30 minutes of exquisite architectural and home design, captivating interviews with fascinating homeowners and a behind-the-scenes look at luxury living. For potential buyers, Home & Castle TV really captures the fine structural details, exquisite views, and special aspects of the properties that Tia highlights with her personal knowledge, warmth and humor.
But, at the heart of the episodes, whose advertisers include luxury-brand car dealerships, restaurants, and the like, a platform exists to showcase Florida real estate to a global market. Canada is one of the major regions where the show is seen. Canadian residents consume Florida properties with a voracious appetite, making them the largest group of international buyers. Broadcasts on the Beach Channel in Miami have become an increasingly popular venue for potential buyers and visitors to the area, who love the intimate look into the area’s finest homes. A steady stream of local realtors is making their way to Home & Castle TV, seeing this as a valuable tool to reach buyers and sellers in today’s market.
Tia closes each episode with a short interview of the homeowner, who obviously has obtained a certain stature in life that most would aspire to. Her thought is that it might provide an inspirational message to the viewer. For Tia Castle, her message is this: Find out what your skill-set is and hone in on it. In her experiences, going to L.A. and learning the behind and in-front of camera aspects of television, along with studying Broadcast Journalism and perfecting her sales instincts in real estate were all steps needed to be taken to reach the point she is at now. Add in a stint as the Marketing Director for the Sarasota Film Festival, which she says was “fast and furious,” and it’s easy to see her hard work, commitment, and dedication have served her well. Tia realized she had a natural ability to communicate with people, especially on camera, and quickly steered her life’s course in that direction. With perseverance and foresight, she conceived the idea of Home & Castle TV, became the writer, host, accountant, and sole financial supporter of the endeavor.
With international exposure, Tia is positioned to take Home & Castle TV into syndication. She is looking for an angel investor, or two, to help facilitate the process and would welcome the opportunity to discuss this exciting venture with potential partners. If you haven’t tuned into Home & Castle TV, you should drop what you’re doing, grab a cup of coffee, and treat yourself to an insider’s look at some of the most luxurious properties found along the Suncoast. It’s an exciting use of 30 minutes, but here’s fair warning! You will probably stick around for another episode.
