Some Final Thoughts about 2017 World Rowing Championships

The 2017 World Rowing Championships were fabulous. Sarasota / Bradenton should be proud! Nathan Benderson Park was a breathtaking site for 10 days.

From the World Rowing Facebook Page- There were 41,000 spectators, 1,800 volunteers, 1,700 rowers, coaches and other support staff along with dozens of partners.

World Rowing Championships Nathan Benderson Park Sarasota Bradenton FloridaThe Sarasota Post team met so many wonderful folks from all over the world. We got to meet some of the rowers, media and lots of local folks.

It is great to know that Nathan Benderson Park will be the host for many more rowing events, concerts and other great “happenings” this year and for many years to come.  Congrats to Max Winitz and the entire team at World Rowing for a job “well done”!
