Praying Works! Prayers Are Answered on the Florida Suncoast

As many of our readers know on Christmas Day an accident took place that involved my business partner’s 14-year-old daughter.  The story was shared on Facebook.  Hundreds and hundreds of prayers were posted and there were so many wonderful comments.  I am happy to report that all ended as best as it could.  Here are the two posting from Rachael’s mom, Anna on Facebook.  Prayers work!

My partner James his wife Anna and their kids are part of my family. Please, they need your prayers. From Anna-

Friends, family, and loved ones, we need your prayers. On Christmas day our daughter Rachel said the infamous kid line, “Watch this!”, did a flip, and landed directly down on her head. She fractured her C7 and C6 vertebrae in her neck. We are at All Children’s Hospital in St Petersburg. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow. The doctors and nurses have all been wonderful. And the surgeon has done his best to reassure us about the surgery. She is resting comfortably but scared. We all are. Please say a prayer for our little girl. We would really appreciate it. I also want to say thank you to everyone who has been calling and texting to check on her and sending her their love. I’m sorry to everyone whose calls I have had to decline, when that happens it’s because we are talking to doctors. But I am trying to get back to everyone. It’s just been a little hard to focus.

Great News About Rachael’s Surgery…..

From her mom, Anna-

Update! Rachel’s surgery went, in her surgeon’s words, “PERFECTLY!!!!” It took a little longer than expected, and she needed a little more instrumentation than they thought. But she is now in recovery and the anesthesia is starting to wear off. They said it went better than they expected. She actually fractured three vertebrae in her neck! We had to listen to the doctors and nurses outside her hospital room talking about her case. And they were all mind boggled that she wasn’t instantly paralyzed. It’s a miracle! I am overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support and prayers for our girl. And I cannot tell you what it means to us. Hundreds of friends, family, and loved ones from Alaska to the Philippines have been raising their voices and their hearts for her. You are all my angels, and I honestly cannot thank you all enough! She is going to be okay!

Thanks to everyone for your continued prayers.
