Pittsburgh and Sarasota-Bradenton Have a Very Special Bond

| Sande Caplin |

The massacre in Pittsburgh last weekend was tragic. There are no words to describe what took place and why someone would be so cruel as to murder so many innocent people, the oldest lady being 97 years old.

The Pittsburgh Pirates celebrated 50 years of Spring Training in Bradenton this year. For the first time ever, there is direct flight service from SRQ Airport to Pittsburgh. Our 2 cities have a special bond and everyone on the Suncoast has Pittsburgh in their prayers.

The names of the wonderful people who were in the Synagogue worshiping and killed were Daniel Stein, 71; Joyce Feinberg, 75; Richard Gottfried, 65; Rose Mallinger, 97; Jerry Rabinowitz, 66; brothers Cecil Rosenthal, 59, and David Rosenthal 54; husband and wife Bernice Simon, 84 and Sylvan Simon, 86; Melvin Wax, 88; and Irving Younger, 69.

Please pray for Pittsburgh.
