Manatee Children’s Services

At Manatee Children’s Services, we are dedicated to breaking the cycle of child abuse. We have a three part strategy to helping children in our community: prevention, intervention, and treatment.

Our prevention programs are designed to work in the greater community to end child abuse before it ever happens. These programs empower children & youth to protect themselves and seek help when needed. They also strengthen families through education, advocacy and support.

Our intervention programs provide critical medical and social assessment services, to determine if child abuse has occurred, partnering with law enforcement as needed and providing shelter and basic necessities to children that cannot reside with their families.

Our treatment programs allow children to begin the healing process after being abused. It doesn’t matter if the child resides in one of our group Child Abuse Manatee County Florida homes, in our shelter, in foster care, or with their families. The goal is to stay safe, feel better and have a brighter future.

In the past ten years, the amount of children that need our help has nearly doubled, yet the amount of financial resources we have to serve them has been reduced significantly. Without the help of concerned people like you, we could not help a troubled teen with no family support, a small child viciously beaten, a young girl recovering from sexual abuse, or a family in crisis. Please join us in making a difference in the life of a
child.
