It’s Safe To Go Back To The Swordfish Grill in Cortez!

| Laura Bell Adams |

Listen closely. Do you hear it? It is your favorite local eateries beckoning you back after a very busy season. Consider this your “All Clear” to climb out of your bunker and head back to your go-to watering holes. Do you hear more? Well, that’s probably some of the live music 9 times a week coming from The Swordfish Grill and Tiki in Cortez.

Don’t get us wrong: We love Snowbird Season on the Gulf Coast. Tourists, part-time residents, and visitors are essential to our city’s success. They help us to employ more people, continue growing business, and lift up our local economy. Not to mention, we are always humbled by getting the opportunity to be a part of someone’s sweet vacation memories.

Locals enjoying Bloody Sunday at The Swordfish Grill and Tiki in Cortez, FLBut we really enjoy Local Season. We try to take excellent care of all our guests year-round, and to acknowledge when a local is willing to brave the crowds when visiting during season. But there’s something that feels a little like coming home during off-season. When our old friends come out to catch some live music, or to catch up with their favorite bartender. When our regulars are able to ask the hostess for their favorite spot without having to deal with a hefty wait. When the parking lot is open and the roads are clearer.

It’s no secret anymore, people have found out about the little fishing village of Cortez. More people are coming throughout more times of year and we’re grateful for it! Getting to introduce visitors to our unique culture here and offer them some of the best fresh fish you can find is a treat for us year-round. But let’s be clear: We would be nowhere without our local community, regulars, and patrons-turned-pals. So head on back to The Swordfish Grill and Tiki. We’ll save a seat for ya!
