I never thought I would smile seeing advertisements for Christmas. This never happened to me before. Actually, some of the commercials are so heartwarming that I got choked up.
A Quieter Thanksgiving in 2020
This Thanksgiving was a quiet one for many of us. Following social distancing practices, dinners were kept small. I had the gift of having Thanksgiving with my dear pals Jack and Hope. It was an experience that I will never forget for the rest of my life.
Hope has become quite the walker! And I mean, she is the real deal. Three miles every day and very little flat ground. I’m talking major hills that take your breath away. We walked and talked every day, and I kept a keen watch, making sure the local bear wasn’t with us or deer or raccoons…. You get the picture!
Hendersonville, North Carolina is like Mayberry! It’s going back to a more peaceful time. Main Street is lit up for Christmas and you can feel the warmth. The stores are so nicely decorated.
So, what about the top picture in this story showing the “holiday toes.” Well, this year, it’s time to start decorating early. We all need a little Christmas right this very minute. Whose toes are they? Who did the fabulous pedicure? Who painted the toe design? Well, I have all of the answers. Want to know the who, what, where, and why? Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will tell you all.
So, Friends on The Florida Suncoast, it’s time to get off the sofa, turn off the TV, turn on the Christmas music and start decorating your house both in and out. It will be the best “feel good” you can have. This year we all need a lift. I wish you all a wonderful holiday season of joy, love, and blessings.
