Salvador Dali Exhibition Coming to Chasen Galleries in Sarasota

The Salvador Dali Museum may be located in St. Petersburg, but this weekend, a rare and exclusive collection of Salvador Dali artwork will be on exhibition and available for acquisition at Chasen Galleries of Sarasota. Previews of Salvador Dali: The Argillet Collection have begun, but this Saturday and Sunday, Madame Christine Argillet will be appearing in Sarasota in support of the exhibition.

This is a museum quality presentation which has travelled to galleries across the globe and presented in many U.S. cities including Washington, D.C., Chicago, Houston, New York, Los Angeles and Palm Beach among others.

Madame Argillet is both the Curator of this Dali Collection, as well as the daughter of the famed Pierre Argillet, Salvador Dali’s publisher and confidante for over fifty years. “This collection is a tribute to the work of my father as an extraordinary publisher of the Dada and Surrealist group,” mentions Christine Argillet. “It reflects a constant endeavor and a close collaboration with the artists of these two movements, especially Salvador Dali.  My goal is to have this collection presented in the finest museums and galleries in the world”.

Argillet will make two very special appearances at Chasen Galleries on Saturday, March 24 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and Sunday, March 25 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Both appearances are complimentary and open to the public, however RSVPs are strongly suggested via phone at 941-260-5787.
