WSLR Celebrates its 15thAnniversary with an Open House on Friday

To celebrate its 15thAnniversary on the air, WSLR will hold an Open House at their studio and performance space on Friday, February 21 from 10am -12pm. The event is free and open to the whole community. There will be staff-led tours of the studios on the half hour and light refreshments will be served. WSLR is located at 525 Kumquat Court in the Rosemary District.

Brazilian-born Diego Figueiredo (pronounced fig-a-ray-doe) is an extraordinary rising star among the world’s greatest jazz guitarists. His superb technique, timing, and imagination have made him one of the hottest international talents. He has unique skills: first, there is his fingering, as each finger and nail is used as a pick, giving him tremendous speed and varied styles. Secondly, his astounding virtuosity fuses Brazilian, jazz, and classical elements into a style all his own. Finally, there is Diego’s endearing passion in his craft and his joy of music so engaging in his performances.
